High School Caroling

High Schoolers will go to Gene the Pumpkin Man’s this Friday, December 15, at 10:00am to sing Amazing Grace and Christmas carols for Gene Rhodes, who is 87 years old and has been serving the community for years with his farm and pumpkins. After pumpkin season is over, it gets lonely at the farm. When Ms. Mom saw Gene at a music jam at the Oshtemo Grange and he heard she teaches/works at RHCS, he brightened and mentioned he is familiar with us, since a group of RHCS students came to sing for him about 13 years ago! Mrs. Schreuder remembered it was Mrs. Esman who had brought her class out to sing for him. Now, the same students are high schoolers, and will go encourage him in a similar manner this Friday! Amazing Grace is a special favorite of his; he will be delighted!
